No, alternative dating not a social tactic

My sister is one of those girls
that never play the field.
I'll bet cash money she's home right now
watching TV or surfing net-land. NOT out
trying to meet a guy to bring home to
Mom.
Forget the fact that her three sisters,
me included, are already married. I'm not
trying to give the gal grief, but she's
32 years old and counting. It's time to
at least start dating someone. Maybe I
need to get her interested in alternative
dating. Don't worry; it's nothing weird
or scary. I'm talking about online dating
websites and singles chat rooms.
There must be a lonely chap out there
somewhere waiting to meet a great girl
like my sister. Who ever said that alternative
dating on the web is for computer nerds
and geeks? It's time for a serious
reality check, ladies and gentlemen.
Anyone and everyone turns to cyberspace
for alternative dating nowadays. There is
no one type of people online searching
for a mate. But, you don't have to take
my word for it. It only takes two seconds
to delve into net-land and check out the
thousands of profiles yourself.
Please don't tell me you're one of those
individuals who assumes that attractive
singles steer clear of cyberspace.
Believe me, this couldn't be further from
the truth. There are some serious hotties
out there (of both the male and female
persuasions).
New-age alternative dating is for
everyone who lacks a soul mate. If you're
like most single men and women, you just
might be getting tired of the local clubs
and pubs. I recall the days when I would
hit these night spots for a little
drinking and mingling. The sad truth is I
never encountered anyone that fit my
ideal of a partner. It seemed like
everyone was there for only one lame
reason. Typically to hook-up with a total
stranger. No thanks!

| Dating Tip: Ask questions. People love to talk about themselves, so ask questions. Come up with a list before you leave the house, i.e., How did you get into that line of work? Where did you go to school? Have you seen the new Brad Pitt movie? And so on.

Not long after I was pleased to see that
alternative dating had bloomed on the
web. This was my chance to meet someone
special in my own area, but without all
the lame bar chats and crowds of drunken
people lingering about. I could converse
from the privacy of my own home, minus
the stress that goes with first
dates.
Isn't it time you gave alternative dating
a shot? There are so many advantages to
alternative dating, it would be foolish
to list list them all, but let me just
say this: If you are a guy, it will save
you tons of money on drinks. And if
you're a girl...well, you won't have to
turn down that cheesy guy who just spent
his last dime buying a drink for the
redhead in the corner.
